Victory welcomes you to ride a horse, walk or ride a wagon through the Bible! The book Pilgrim’s Progress was written in 1678 by John Bunyan. He was jailed for twelve years for his faith and standing of Jesus Christ. The book is written as a dream and an allegory of the Bible. Pilgrim (you) begin the journey from the City of Destruction with a heavy burden of sins on your back. We desperately want to get rid of our burden but must carry it until we arrive at the Cross. Pilgrim’s destination is the Celestial City (heaven) where there is a wonderful inheritance. To successfully complete the journey, Pilgrim must travel through some dangerous territory. Evil forces seek to discourage and defeat us by putting hindrances and obstacles in our path. Bogged down in the slough, facing hungry lions, battling with Apollyon, or encountering the terrible Giant Despair. Pilgrim must be alert at all times, prepared to use the spiritual weapons acquired throughout the journey to defeat the enemy and battle through to the final reward.
